TESTIMONIALS

"Dear Mr. Landies:

This letter is to convey my great impression of your M1918A3 SLR which I received approximately three weeks ago. The fit, finish and obvious attention to detail is outstanding. My first trip to the range produced a 25-yard sight-in target with a three-round group measuring 3/4 inch in the exact center of the x-ring, and that with my 69 year-old eyes. The ammunition was surplus LC68 obtained from CMP. The rifle has performed flawlessly. Four friends at the range fired it also and greatly enjoyed the experience.

I would like to thank you for the courtesy extended to me at the December, 2009 Phoenix, AZ gun show, to Laura Horvath for her assistance during the process, to "D.T." for the superb packing, and to everyone involved in the manufacturing process. The wait was well worthwhile."

Sincerely,

"Ohio Ordnance:

Thank you. The service was great and Laura's follow-thru was appreciated. The rifle is a fine piece of machinery. Having my Marine Corp serial number on the rifle made it all the more special. The Marine Corp emblem on the receiver was a real touch of class.
Again, thanks to everyone."

"Dear Ohio Ordnance,

I must say that the BAR I purchased from you last year is the best weapon that I have ever purchased! My whole family (wife and 3 children) have enjoyed shooting it. Not only was it beautifully made, it has proven reliable from the first shot to the present. Thank you for producing such a fine weapon."

Sincerely,

"About every four months the Charlotte (N.C.) Rifle & Pistol Club holds the "Drop Eight Match." This is a military rifle match fired from a range of two hundred yards, from a prone position using a sling, bi-pod, or a rest, open sights only. There are eight targets made of steel that measure 7" x 13," free standing on a metal base, the object is to knock them down with rifle fire as quickly as possible. Shots are counted and timed electronically, the fastest time wins.

I entered the match and set up my OOW 1918A3 BAR on the bi-pod, the gun has a great sight radius and front sight was as clear as a bell. At the command to fire, the gun smoothly spit out eight rounds and made eight hits in 12.43 seconds, my best time ever. I have a nice new plaque to hang on my wall. Thank You."

I just picked up my 1918A3 SLR from my FFL. I cannot express how amazing this rifle is. Fit, finish, build quality is simply flawless. I want to thank you for guiding me through the purchase of this beautiful rifle ... maybe one day an M240 SLR.
Again, thank you!

I just received my 1918A3 BAR yesterday on time. I must say it was the most professional packing job I have ever seen on anything I have ever purchased. The weapon is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth the 1 year wait. The condition and quality of the weapon, accessories, and spare parts speak for themselves about the professionalism of OOW. I only wish you still made the 1918 BAR again as I would order that as well. The weapon fired flawlessly as I started to break the barrel in last night and produced about 1 inch MOA at 100 yards.
Also, the USMC engraving job is as great as you described over the phone. It is perfect for the weapon, not to flashy and not to dull.

Very Respectfully,
William Oren

Dear Ohio Ordnance,

I deployed to Afghanistan in July 2007 and as a "for going to war gift" I ordered an M1918A3 BAR from you. Luckily for me, the weapon actually arrived before I left the states, so I was able to enjoy it before I got to Afghanistan. I really enjoy owning the BAR and it fits very well into my collection of U.S. WWII small arms.

Last month I was visiting my hometown of Warren, Ohio and contacted Laura to ask about a visit to your facility. Laura was wonderful and helped set up a tour or your BAR assembly line. I'd like to express my thanks to Laura for setting this up for me.

My tour of the BAR line was done by Calvin, who was friendly, professional, and who knew his business about BAR manufacturing. I was impressed by the detail that went into building each BAR, and was very happy to be able to see, photograph, and ask questions about BAR manufacturing.

I want to thank you for the opportunity to visit your facility and the time given to me by Laura and Calvin ... it was great to see where and how my BAR was built.

Best Wishes,
Ben Luoma

Ohio Ordnance,

I'm writing to tell you how impressed I am with my "BAR." When I opened the box I was very impressed in the way it looked and the way it felt in my hands!
Now off to the range, after sighting it in at 50 yds. we set clay birds against the 100 yd. berm. My 11 year old grandson (he'll be 12 in Nov.) was busting clay birds everytime he pulled the trigger, everyone just stared, smiled, then shook their heads. We put CMP Lake City and CMP Greek M2 Ball thru it. This gun never failed! (It performed perfect!) I would not sell this gun for $5000.00!
I would also like to complement your employee "Laura" she's very helpful, as well as efficient on her job. I have ordered spare parts, and every order has been perfect.
Thank You Again,
Sincerely,
Jim Leirle
P.S. I not only added an excellent firearm to my collection, I feel I added a rare piece of history.

Thanks to all of you. Here's a testimonial for your web site. As a military historian and a collector of 20th century military firearms and weapons, I am thrilled to have an absolutely authentic, newly manufactured and fully functional BAR. Ohio Ordnance Works has created a superior rifle that is indistinguishable from an original. From its introduction in World War I, the BAR served with distinction for decades, unimpeachable testimony to John Browning's design genius. OOW's continuing production of this exceptional firearm is a tribute to Browning and the three generations of troops who carried the BAR in combat. Call OOW if you'd like to own a wonderful piece of American military history. It's well worth the investment and will grow in value for years to come.
Thanks and Best Regards,

Greetings ...
I received my 2 BAR's yesterday (#1411 and #1412) and rushed down to pick them up from my FFL when I heard they had come in. My expectations were very high and I was not dissapointed. What I saw were 2 very finely crafted rifles packed expertly and carefully. My initial inspection showed both had late war (WWII) dates on the barrels and actions that were smooth as silk ... I expect these babies will shoot as well as they look and that will be pretty good. Congratulations to you on a very fine product and my compliments to your staff in all respects of customer care from the beginning to this point.
Thanks again.
A very happy customer

Received my BAR yesterday, Great job! Fit and finish perfect, can't wait for the weather to break so I can try it out on the 100 yd. range. It was definitely worth the price and the wait, and I would give your BAR my highest recommendation.
My thanks to Elizabeth and the rest of your customer service staff for their courtesy. By the way my wife loved the refrigerator magnet, who says I'm not a sensitive man of the 90's! C.B. Diamond, IL

Greetings, I received my "dummy" BAR today and am thrilled with the attention to detail! It looks exactly like the real thing as opposed to other non gun replicas out there. Keep up the great work! Thank you, D.O.

OOW, My name is Chris Ray and I purchased one of your 1918A3 BAR's a few months ago. Well, I finally got back to the US to see it last week. Wow! That's a great looking rifle! The workmanship on it is superb. I only regret that I didn't get a chance to shoot it. It's so great that I think it, not me, managed to convince my cousin and my brother to both purchase one. I told them that OOW is an absolutely outstanding company that does awesome work. A while back I bought an AK74 that I thought looked amazingly well-built only to discover it was built/rebuilt by you. As soon as finances work out, I'd sure like to get a monopod for it to give it an added touch (and down the line sometime, maybe one of your 1928 Colts). Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that your hard work is very much appreciated. Keep up the super work!
Chris

Hi, I wanted to let you know the service I received from you was FANTASTIC! The linker is very well made and the links far exceeded my expectations. I realize being in Ohio helped with the shipping time but WOW. The belt is going in the bottom of the gun cabinet for good, big thanks to all of you.

I received the VZ-2000 today. Tell Bob he has another winner!

I retrieved my VZ receiver from my FFL. It is a work of art! Thanks!

I woud like to thank you for the very helpful and friendly folks that you have working at OOW. I just recently discovered your company and you have my business. I have heard from many people that you have one of the better AK-74 receivers on the market. NEW CUSTOMER.

I am thoroughly delighted with my 1918A3 Rifle. You have done a magnificent job.
The fit and finish is perfect. I can't wait until my shooting buddies see it at next Saturday's match.

I received my BAR the other day and was I surprised.
The rifle is much larger than I had thought and the quality is top notch. Your company builds a superb product and I am extremely happy to have purchased one. Please keep up the good work and thank you again. J.L.

Fired at 100 yards on 4 May, 1996 from 1918A3 SLR serial #035 using federal premium match .30-06 ammo. For my hero, Robert I Landies.
Great rifle, Bob! Best of luck!
